Police Search For Eric Lee Nunn Regarding Auto Theft In Franklin

The Franklin Police Department is searching for Eric Lee Nunn of 258 County Road 456, Woodland, Alabama, after he stole a 2008 Chrysler Sebring that was unattended in the parking lot of Jordan’s Quick Stop, located at 2468 Franklin Parkway. The theft occurred during the evening hours on Monday, September 12th, while the owner of the vehicle was inside the convenience store for a short period of time. 

According to statements gathered by Officer Cecil Price, the owner observed the vehicle as it exited the parking lot, traveling westbound on Georgia Highway 34. Upon Officer Price being informed of the theft, he and deputies of the Heard County Sheriff’s Department attempted to locate the vehicle, but were unsuccessful. A lookout for the vehicle was immediately given to all law enforcement agencies in the surrounding area and Officer Price requested the assistance of departmental investigator, Lieutenant Tino Brooks. 

A short period of time after the investigation began an offender in the theft was identified as Eric Lee Nunn, including other crucial information. Randolph County deputies were then requested to go to his home, where they located the stolen vehicle. Upon their arrival they observed a male individual flee the scene on foot, into a wooded area behind the residence. The deputies immediately made contact with other individuals at the location and arrested two of them for drug related charges. They were identified as Carlton Nunn and Willie Nunn, the uncles of Eric Lee Nunn. 

Although the vehicle has been recovered, Eric Lee Nunn remains at large and has active warrants for his arrest. Anyone having information as to the whereabouts of the offender is asked to contact the Franklin Police Department at (706) 675-6624.
